We are camping on the east side of Priest Lake & having trouble finding places to pick huckleberries on that side. I know there are lots of hikes and places on the west side of the lake.

Does anyone have any recommendations for picking huckleberries on the east side? Thanks so Much!

Look on old logging roads or old burns.
No one is going to tell you where their favorite picking spot is.
So you’re better off not asking so people don’t think you’re nuts.

Have you run into any rangers? Couldn't hurt to ask. They probably won't tell you the best spots but will lead you to where you can find something. Looks like the upper lake would be a good spot but nothing compared to the west side.

I lived up there for 14 years and I’ve never seen a ranger.

Ha! Figures. Oh well, half the fun is the adventure of looking. I'm sure the OP will have a great time anyway.

How do you feel about sharing your mushroom hunting spots?

Yeah I was afraid of that. I appreciate the help, especially about looking near old burns!
