Curious about this town. Can you give me some insight of schools, health care, climate, lifestyle of this area. Where do people shop? Is this a bedroom community for some other city? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm interested too. I think it's definitely a small town.

It's a little farm town that's close to Twin Falls and the Snake River. It's surrounded by farm fields, quite a few dairies, and I believe there's a commercial trout farm that's very near by. that uses water from som e natural springs.

Like so many others, it once had a thriving Main St., but I'm sure it's less so now, so most of the goods would be found in Twin Falls.

Can't say much more; it's been a while since I spent time there. I have 2 friends who lived there but have since moved to Boise I don't expect it's changed much. Pleasant and quiet country living.

Almost but not quite a suburb of Twin Falls but neither place is very big. Has its own grocery stores and Walmart. 20 minutes to Twin Falls and more shopping like a small mall, like Lowes. 2 hours to Boise via interstate for big shopping. Dry climate, maybe a bit than average for the US, a bit colder than Boise, limited snow. Flat terrain right in and around town; in the Snake River Plain region. Has some light manufacturing and a huge chesse warehouse LOL.

Hospital https://www.stlukesonline.org/commun...medical-center
Part of a regional network.

11k population in town. Growing about 100 per year. 23k in county. 62% white, 36% Hispanic, 2% other. Pretty high on religious affiliation. Maybe be more official Catholics than LDS but LDS may be more active. Lots of young families. Schools rate horribly (on 1 site) except for Horizon Elementary (which rates average). Look into it in-person or homeschool? Crime rate is a bit less than national average. About 70% voted Republican in last Presidential election, 20% Democratic, 10% independent. Low wage economy and / or lots of 1 wage earner families. Most homes are under $200k but prices rising faster than national average. Few really upscale homes. Very few built in last 10 years.

School ratings might be accurate about average feelings or actual quality or they could be biased by extreme voting by a few parents / kids.
