About 11 years ago I was driving west on I-90 from Montana and I stopped at a gas station and as I was filling the gas I looked around and I seemed to be in some sort of a scenic view of a street with mountains on either sides and I remember looking at the receipt of the gas station and I think it said coeur d'alene.

Try traveling west in Street View (Google Earth or just Google Maps) along I-90 through Wallace, Kellogg, Smelterville and Pinehurst, etc. too. The Texaco station on Pine St and I-90 Business in Wallace could fit your description.

Rose Lake at I90 and SH3 could also be a possibility if you were not in a town.

I was gonna say Rose lake, just from following I90 on Google Earth and cruising street view
There is a gas station there on a long straight road right off the interstate. Couple of them actually.
