It's a sad, sad day when the local news thinks the most important thing going on in our lives is some stupid "Pot Farm" game on facebook. There has to be more important news worthy events happening right now. I can't believe the lead in story for tonight's news at 10 is this stupid game. Really....who cares?

Haha, just be thankful they don't have to lead everyday with a murder like in Bham or NOLA.

I laugh when I see these silly top stories lead the newscast.

Seriously. People in a lot of metros would be just fine with that.

Every Wednesday, 31's website thinks the top story is some chef's soup.

What I find interesting is that all three stations rarely have the same stories at all. If they have any in common, it's usually a big deal, but generally govt corruption is only covered by one, and not the others.

All three are very bad about stringing out a story. "Victim shot" becomes "Neighbors shocked victim shot" to "Family prays for Victim" to some other way to stretch it out. Often, they find an idiot, or someone they can quote out of context to make them look like one, for even the first story if the details are so sparse that it can be said in one sentence.

For a metro area our size, you'd think we'd have better news stations. That said, I don't watch them on TV but on the internet.

I didn't even hear about this but what, like Farmville or whatever but it's a pot farm for social networks?

Sorry, but I think that is hilarious.

I always think it's funny when I read the name "metro area" with regards to Huntsville.
