Back in the day like 11yrs ago I got a Trek at Bike Barn, but no longer own it . Now I’m looking to buy a new bike to get back in shape, but budget is $300 or less. What are some good shops around town and also which brands are good for that price? Also I saw some bikes where it has a motor for when you get tired and don’t want to pedal. Thanks

To be honest, that budget is really going to steer you to a big box store like Target, Wal-Mart, or Academy. I don't say that to be rude, but most bicycle shops will have one or two options in the budget range, but not much more than that. They are all about the more serious rider who will spend considerably more. Also consider checking our your local Facebook marketplace, just pay attention to the size you need.

I have a Trek that I paid about $500 for probably 10 years ago, and just had Planetary give it a tune up. Even that was like $120, but worth it to me once I saw what new bikes go for. It was sticker shock!

Nope. It closed, and the property was sold for development earlier this year.
