Are you a fisherman, or just have an interesting palate?

But that's only possible with good city planning.
It just bothers that when somebody in a poor neighborhood asks for the same thing or same rights.... some people start saying "We need less government and more business freedom".... only when is not in their backyard.
Agreed, I've come across some of the biggest hypocrites since moving out here. It's kind of like the idiots that complain about their taxes subsidizing for low income areas, but have no problem placing a tax burden on others to have a new shining school built in their back yard. lol

Default ALDI is... what it is.

I wish people would get over the PC, Political Correctness, mania already. Anyone who knows anything about Aldi knows these are, without a doubt, ghetto grocery stores that target to the like. Say what you will. It is what it is.

I think what the residents are protesting is the ghetto moving closer and closer to their homes and if you've lived long enough in the area, you would agree. I've been in Katy since the mid 80's, and I've seen the area just deteriorate over the years. But that is how these things evolve, like a cancer that is not treated, it will just metastasize. Don't buy the BS about the traffic, noise, etc. It is not a quiet street now.

Those of you new to the area see the damage, not what it once was. Just as when I moved to Houston in the early 80's as a teenager, the Heights was ghetto as ghetto goes, but it is now the chic place to live.

Sit back and wait decades... usually ghetto places become hip again. But for now, let them complain, it is their right. Lots of different kinds of people shop at Walmart, poor people shop at Aldi. You are going to get the guys sitting on the curb drinking quarts out of paper bags, soiled diapers in the parking lot, trash strewn in the parking lots, even though there will be a trash can within walking distance. If the Taco Trucks are fancy, they might have some lights strung out and some cheap plastic chairs and table. It's already there just down the street. Welcome to Mason Road/Katy.
