Hi guys,

I recently got a promotion to head of the ambulance service and got an office at the town public security station.

The furniture and the flooring will remain the same but I am allowed to paint the walls.

But here I have NO idea what could be done to look nice and professional with this color of furniture and this questionable floor.

I will listen to all suggestions, any ide will be appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance

Personally- I’d be happy to have “an office” (as opposed to a cubicle)- regardless of color!

But, if you’re Hellbent on painting…
According to Color Psychology, "it has been proven that different shades of blue can improve concentration, stimulate thinking, and provide mental clarity”. Just not sure what shade of blue would work with a golden VCT floor!

Is the gold part of the floor, or is it a rug?

Well, either way, you could buy a rug. Me, personally, I like the idea of blue walls (I'd go kind of a dark blue) and maybe a persian style rug.

I agree with the dark blue walls. Very professional color. No rug because you're going to have to clean/vacuum it. I would buy some nice art for the walls. What do you like/interests? Nature, animals, landscapes, cityscapes, travel...I would keep it simple and professional.

The room will have to be swept once in awhile anyway. Things get dusty, people drop stuff, etc.

Paint it your favorite color; get a patterned rug that incorporates that color for the floor.

The links to the pictures aren't working for me. Is there anyway someone can post them?

I would keep it light….any color that you like, and hang some appropriate art on the walls. I would hate having no windows.

A mellow and light wall color, some art on the walls and two lamps - daylight standing lamp with a flooder and a desk task light.
