I have a large bay window in my den. I tried separate blinds for each window, but they didn't look right. I can't afford custom blinds for each window, so I decided 2 separate curtain panels and either use a decorative transverse rod or an expanding rod with c rings.

The window size is 128 inches across, so my choices of curtain rods are limited.

Nothing at JCP, overstock.com

I did find a transverse rod on ebay for 139, but this would be my last resort.

Anyone have any suggestions--particularly for the expanding rod with c rings?

These:

Use these with a regular curtain (round) rod.

This is my dining room with the bay window rods:

I got the rods at Home Depot or Target or someplace, ordered the corner things online.

There are many bay window styles - a picture of your bay window would help to determine what kind of curtain rods you need.

Looked all over for a transverse rod that wasnt white and that was longer than 128 inches. Someone sent me a link to the one I bought at Country Curtains online.

Here is a picture of my bay window

I ended up ordering a decorative transverse rod from country curtains:

Curtain Rods Decorative Traverse Rod - Country Curtains®

And jewel tex pole curtains in spice from JCP (I don't know what they' re doing with prices over there--they went from $99 to $67, and 3 days later it's$124!!
