Where is the best pagan/metaphysical shop(s)? Also, to get herbs/plants? And are there any good thrift or half-price bookstores in VA Beach?

For half-priced books, try Bookrack on Independence Blvd. Also, although not in VB, the Book Exchange in Norfolk (Wards Corner) is pretty cool. Heritage Books and Gifts at the Oceanfront is supposed to have some Pagan stuff in there, but I don't know for sure.

There used to be a joint called "Ye Old Magic Shoppe" or something. It had a pentagram, so when you are 6 it looked like a crazy cool satanic store. It's gone now. I heard rumors the lady there kept an air horn by the phone due to all the prank calls.

Ye old magic shop was located down Tidewater drive going toward down town on the left hand side next to the silver diner. There is also a place on Military Hwy next to Azalea and a shop up in Virginia Beach, corner of Laskin and Atlantic. LoL> I just remembered back in 90 or 91 they had a big pot plant up on the second floor of a old 2 story shop that was there by the little plaza.

I recall a place called the Heritage over in Virginia Beach. They sold not only magic and metaphysical stuff, but organic food. Since I haven't been in the area for several years, I don't know if they are still in business.

Hah! Awesome. I remember being on a school bus in Jr. High passing it. It had a huge pentagram on the front.
Kids were like oooooo. So funny looking back.

There was a place called Ye Olde Mystique Shoppe on Tidewater Drive in Norfolk with a pentagram on it. I think they moved to another location, but if so, i don't know where to. Also, Kelley kept a whistle by the phone for prank calls, not an air horn. =)
