does anyone knows of any river or lake that i can go to swim near Virginia Beach or Hampton roads? im willing to travel 1 hour or 2 hrs away as well.

Lake Anna or Colonial Beach might be the closest. But both are closer to 3 hours than 2.

Lake Phoenix, in Rawlings VA. Its a spring fed lake (former rock quarry). Mainly a scuba place but you can swim also. Has a campground.
edit: it's more than 2 hours away
