Where can I go to meet other lesbians in Norfolk or Virginia Beach? I'm not into the party scene like bars and clubs and seem like you always have to go out to eat to meet others. Are there bookstores, shops or someplace where gay/lesbian go to?

Wouldn't they go to the same bookstores and shops others go to?

Hmmmm.... Considering the lone response to this post there must not be much of a gay community. While it might seem like the op could visit any bookstore to meet like minded folks. However there are a lot of communities where lesbians find safety and comfort in meeting others in the local lesbian/womyns bookstore or coffee shop.
Of course if there are places to meet besides the bar please respond.

There's a huge gay community. There are just not a lot of primarily gay-serving establishments that are not bars.

OP, I'm not sure of your age, but sometimes the colleges support gay activities that are open to the public. Look up the gay/straight alliances at the local colleges and see what kind of events they are hosting.
