I just finished, and very much enjoyed, “Book of Glocks” Second Edition by Robert Sadowski. It lives up to its subtitle: ‘A comprehensive guide to America’s most popular handgun.”
Bob is an enthusiastic Glock shooter and collector. “Collector of modern guns” sounds like a contradiction in terms for some, but there is indeed a Glock Collectors Association, the president of which, Stanley Ruselowski, Jr. wrote the foreword. Rarity, not just age, makes things collector-worthy, and there have been a great many Glock variations over the decades, some of which I hadn’t known about until I read Bob’s book.
To be honest, I never really "got" Glocks. They are very cost-effective, almost impossible to break, and if you do break it parts and service are right there. But the trigger is not appealing to me, The factory barrels are not recommended for cast bullets (although a CB compatible barrel is easy to install). I guess I am just an unreconstructed 1911 guy.
It pinches my pinkie where the mag and grip meet. I'm just not accurate with the 26
Uncomfortable in my hand, not like my G19 and G22
The only sub-compact that I carry in summertime is the SA XD Mod 2. Small, 13 and 15 double stack round mags, feels great shoots like a dream (I can hit center mass easily at 50 yards---Not tight groups, but it gets the job done)
It is a real shame that SA discontinued this and replaced it with single stack 7 round mags)

Still, I'll probably get that book...
Hard to argue with the aftermarket support, holster availability, $25 factory mags and cheap reliability. Whatever grup angle issues they have, you can train around.
Throw an extended slide release and a good trigger in one and run them hard.

Who makes a good trigger for a Glock? That "semi-double-action" trigger would be hard to make anything like a good 1911 trigger.
I agree that Glocks are very cost effective, and most serious handgun shooting does not require "X-Ring" levels of inherent and practical accuracy. But I'm buying my gats one at a time and am not that cost sensitive.
I will admit that a Glock in 10mm would be a very good bear gun, though. Plenty of power, a lot of rounds, very unlikely to break down at an inopportune time.

Apex and Zev seem to be the most popular for Glocks, though I still run a stock trigger in my G21. Lightning Strike has an interesting option that I've been considering, but I have a bunch of other projects in the queue right now.
I sometimes carry a Glock 30 but I normally carry my smaller NA Guardian .32 when I’m out in public.
I’m thinking about the model 26 or the model 27 for concealed carry.
For me carrying concealed is very important and larger pistols have a way of making my pants want to sag.
I have a few .40 cal pistols and a case of .40 ammo.
They are also now making better 9mm ammo so I’m still trying to figure which would be the better fit or which mouse gun might work best for me.
