If you'd like to make hard-back copies for yourself or friends that are great quality and inexpensive, try lulu.com. I've been very happy with mine.

I've got a few on Amazon for kindle. It's kind of nice not having to do anything and just see a deposit every now and then in my bank account. My problem with being an author was self-promoting. I can't stand doing that.

I am a Novice writer with three books sleeping in my computer. One is consists of poems, one is based on a true story and the other one- is fiction. I received an offer from a publishing company to market, promote and publish my book. But, as I read the contract, I became perplexed with the offer. It feels as though I just might end up owing them from the beginning to the end of this, my first authorship experience despite the fact they are offering $2,500 advance for my work. Any advice?

I have found that with self-publishing, the biggest obstacle (for me) is marketing.

To rawrrawrrawr: Congratulations on all of your eBooks! That's awesome! As for your facebook question, I have two pages, a personal page and a separate author page. It is a pretty good way to get your name out there...every now and then I'll put a post up and people I don't know "like" it and then they get to read that I'm an author and find out where to purchase my eBook. Okay, that was a run-on sentence for sure!! Anyway, I hired a cover artist and editor to help with preparing my books. There are many on freelancer.com. Hope that helps!

I have written several short stories and completed a novella. I need to know the best way to optimize my viewing audience. Suggestions?
