They say some folks felt the tremor here in our area around 2pm. I work at home in a pretty quiet place, and didn't notice a thing.

My wife texted asking if I felt that before it was announced. She's in Lyman. A coworker's wife contacted him from Inman about the house shaking. I didn't feel anything in Taylors.

<yawn> Sounds like a minor story. At least Upstate residents don't have to worry about a life-altering hurricane.

Haven't heard about it on the news yet, but we felt it here in Mauldin. Mostly just noticed my desk and monitors rocking back and forth!

I had just stopped by my house on the way to an appointment, and I didn't really feel it, but these little figures on a shelf rattled a little bit. I actually just thought an unusually heavy truck went down Woodruff Road. I fired up the computer, and then started seeing all this stuff about an earthquake.

Oddly, Virginia is a heck of a lot further away from an earthquake hazard area. In fact, Greenville's closer to 2 than they are to any.

Two co-workers just blamed this on Obama, and they are being 100% serious. Something about sinning, the end of America, repentance, and that it was centered in DC - a sign from God. Holy $hit, there are some serious nut jobs in this town.

I didn't feel it, but local FB friends say they did.

Haha, that's hilarious (and sad) (and scary). What is this company you work for?
