Have family visiting and they want to take in Biltmore. Are there any discounts available? Seems I remember you used to be able to buy your tickets in advance at Bi-Lo or somewhere and get a discount.

I don't know about Bi-Lo having them but I know I have seen this offer at Ingles in the past. Check the websites; surely if it is available now it will be mentioned somewhere.

From the Biltmore site: Save $15 on regular admission. Buy your tickets online at least seven days in advance.

Exclusive Biltmore Offer - Half Off Ticket Prices (http://www.biltmore.com/visit/11_exclusive_bogo.asp - broken link)

I just went yesterday, and that's how I bought mine. If you think you might go at least twice in a year, get the season pass. That will also get you discounts on other stuff. Winery tour and wine tasting is included with regular admission, BTW. Have fun!

Update -- didn't have time to buy the tickets 7 days ahead. And, despite it still being promoted on the Ingles web site, Ingles no longer sells the tickets. So, it was $49 a head for my visiting relatives. Ouch.

Go ahead an upgrade to an annual pass when you get there. Makes the pain a little less. You can go as many times a year as you like and get 10% off in the shops and resturaunts.

The winery tour was a let down, way too short in my opinion. And they don't let you taste enough wine lol. Especially after getting a tour time, waiting for an hour, then doing the tour, then waiting 30 more minutes right outside where you taste... kinda sad

The staff is by far the friendliest I have seen though.
