My husband applied and it was almost a year (maybe a little more) before he was contacted for the actual job offer through MAU. He went in to a meeting in Greenville and the woman explained that they were hiring part-time, short term, and he explained he needed something full-time, long-term. She said they'd be in touch. Around 9 months later, and after he had taken another job, he was contacted with a full-time, long term position.
In other words, it might be a long while. If they said you were "hired, pending" then it sounds like a sure thing...sounds like. You can either wait around unemployed or get a high-turnover job that won't be hurt by you leaving quickly (as in, they didn't spend alot of money or time training and screening you). But, whatever you do, be patient.
I know someone who did the hiring process at the end of Oct. last year. His process was a week long and then he was hired in July of this year. Mine was 1 week just like his in Dec. of last year I am still waiting to be hired. Then another I know did the process in the beginning of Feb. this year. 2 parts were within one week then the pysical/drug test was scheduled 5 weeks after that. He is still waiting for the hire call too.
I was referring to the production side. MAU hires for production and forklift.
