Hello all! We are strongly considering purchasing a home in Legacy Park. We love love LOVE the neighborhood (we have two elementary aged children) but have heard some really mixed reviews from friends. Some say that the neighborhood is going downhill (crime etc.) while others say they like it. The vast majority are all in agreement, however, to the sub-par schools (Awtrey and North Cobb). I need some advice, please! Our kids are currently in private school in Kennesaw but we'd like them to start public for middle so schools are VERY important -- but we really want to be in a good community too! Thanks!

I used to own a house in there. We rented it to a family with kids for about 4 years then sold it. Seems like a great place for kids. Easy for them to get to playgrounds and each other's houses, as well as play sports all within the neighborhood. Lots of kids riding bikes and that kind of thing.
