these are all of my guesses on what I thought most of the cities in Georgia looked like.

ATLANTA- ITSELF
SAVANNAH- SANDY SPRINGS
MACON- DUNWOODY/ATLANTIC STATION
COLUMBUS- SMYRNA/MARIETTA 285 DISTRICT
AUGUSTA- VININGS 285/75 DISTRICT

I actually thought these cities would have skylines like this by now.

At these cities ages (savannah ect.) they should be booming more than Sandy springs and the rest. Its just these cities(sandy springs ect.) are so close to THE BIG CITY ATLANTA. If we where to switch these cities Georgia would make more progress.

No you would only be swapping the names of these cities and end up with the same results / GA cities are what they are because of their history, residents, and economies. Skylines do not equal booming cities.

I undersatand Them being ( Georgia cities ) what they are, its just the size. And what you guys aren't getting is I'm not saying interstates or skylines are the only key to a cities success, I'm saying They can boom even faster with this. Besides think about Atlanta. They boomed in skyline and interstates in like the 1970's. They started off with the Westin Peachtree plaza. After that they where good. Then when the olympics came they were even better.

If Atlanta could do it then the rest can to. Thats all I ever meet.

You have to stop comparing Atlanta to other GA cities by 1970 Metro Atlanta had over a million residents, had one of the busiest if not the busiest airports in the U.S if not the world, was in the early planning/ construction phases of a rapid transit system, a major rail hub, had a large corporate presence, ect. and this was before the skyline or the interstates. Augusta, Savannah, Columbus and Macon are no were near 1970's Atlanta in size but they are near what it had in the skyline when it was around the same population as these cities are today so could you please stop it with the who's booming and who's not because of skylines and interstate. If a skyline meant a city was booming why are people fleeing Detroit.

Admittedly, you're not really communicating it well. On the other hand, I don't wish for the rest of Georgia's cities to "boom" as far as population growth. Up here in Rome, I am thankful for the 411 buffer from Atlanta's sprawl.

Yep - that would be ludicrous. But, we don't have to worry.

Savannah will have skyscrapers as time goes. you guys have got to look at comprehensive plans for cities, Augusta, Macon, Columbus all have coprehensive plans on how to boom in the near or far future. It's all written and already happening so stop saying what you think. besides these are major cities and major cities don't stay small for everyou know. I'm speaking pre- K right now.

I mean come n of course Savannah and gainesville will be the first out of town cities to have a skyline, plus Augusta. so get real

And those that keep talking about all these classic cities in Georgia just saying if you know it or not Seattle, Sanfrancisco, and Oakland are the top 3 active cities in the U.S. so right now all these places are not all that, you're just defendingthe cities because you live there and were raised there and thats all you are used to. THERE ARE FAR BIGGER AND BETTER CITIES OUT THERE

I didn't mean to quote this. just got carried away.
