Congrats!

I would be a nervous wreck having only 14 days to go.

Well now it is only 12 - I am just excited for the change now - not nervous anymore!
I've been posting since January 09 - but was serious about the move in march and well everything just fell into place thankfully! I'm fortunate I found the job I did. I realize some people are out there looking for a very long time!

I just saw this.

Good luck Chelsa! You are a very friendly northeasterner, like me. Trust me. You'd do fine even on another planet. Happy friendly people attract and bring good karma wherever they go.

Change is almost always good. It expands your horizons!

Buena suerte!

Heidi

Y para voz tambien!

Thank you Heidi - I completely agree - I was saying this very same thing to Fauve - I have met so many great people on this forum. Some I hope to actually meet and be better friends with. I have phenominal friends here in NYC and that is the only thing I was scared about was not meeting genuine people, but I think I'll be okay!

Thank you again for your well wishes!

Oh! I should tell you a couple of things, then. I'm half New Yorker and I love that coast. In fact my born-in-the Bronx dad lives on that coast.

Having said that, I went back to the west coast last month to visit my husband's Midwestern family and absolutely fell in love with the area after hating it for years.

All of the pushy, rude people were gone! Gone! I could have easily been in the middle of Knoxville. People were waving to each other. Waving to us! They let each other out into traffic. And it was the middle of "season."

I am happy to report that the area is full of genuine people. I have no idea where the creeps went. Perhaps Charlotte?

From what I understand a lot of people have left or are leaving florida - I don't plan on being that statistic! The plan is to make it my home!
