I am waiting for approval to rent a condo in south Florida. I have given the Hoa everything they need and then some. I even paid extra for tenant evaluation to expedite and move the process quicker. It’s going on 3 1/2 weeks. I call and write emails and a receptionist claims she’s trying to get an update. My Realestate agent and the actual landlord have reached out to them as well. Is this a common thing in south Florida? Is there anything I can do to speed this up? It’s really not fair to me and especially the actual owner. Any advice of information would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know if the condo HOA is privately run or run by a company that specializes in this? I'm a condo owner in Miami and I am on my HOA board but it's professionally run and managed by a company called FSR (First Service Residential). I often have to approved renters/buyers for my building and it does NOT take 3.5 weeks to get this all completed. If it's professionally managed, maybe you can call their headquarters office and ask why it's taking this long? Good luck!
