How safe is the north riverwalk at night? I am talking about the area around the Performing Arts center.

Generally speaking that area is not unsafe at night.

That area is fine at night, it's just a block or so away from a pretty lively area with bars and restaurants.

I have walked to the Broward Center and back at night and while it seems safe, I stopped doing so. It is very dark at night and there are a lot of homeless there.

Thanks. I have no problem with homeless people, at least not their presence. I do think homelessness itself is a big problem in Florida, but one people do want want to address. But you have to fix the homelessness, not where they are.

The homelessness, while a small issue in Florida, is nothing compared to California.

Fort Lauderdale has a homeless issue, I spent the weekend there and its bad. Beach has it, Broward Blvd is full of homeless once you get west of the courthouse.

Don't judge. We take care of our homeless in my neighborhood. As a matter of fact, I am on a first name basis with many of them.

I spent the weekend at the Ritz Carlton and the homeless can be aggressive/crazy. I saw a few standing on the wall screaming nonsense in the middle of the day this weekend. Not 2am, more like 2 pm. Went to Foxy Brown's new location (beautiful BTW) but the 7/11 a block south on US1 was sketchy on Sunday am.

I'm a live/let live guy but also do not want to be hassled by anyone homeless or not. Broward Blvd is ground zero near the tri-rail
