Went to Hollywood beach with the family 2 days ago. Had hard time finding a parking spot in the afternoon. Any secret parking place that's less crowded?

Last Mother's day, I spent two+ hours driving (crawling) around Hollywood Beach from end to end, hoping to find a parking spot, while my wife and kids ate at Margaritaville.

I then picked them up and drove home.

Hollywood Beach parking was always lacking, and now with fewer spaces after they built Margaritaville - fuggetaboutit.

Garfield Street Garage and Margaritaville are just about the only options if you want the Broadwalk. If you are just trying to go to the beach or don't mind a little extra walking, head to the northern end North Beach Park and all the parking above that on the individual streets. We often find parking across A1A. You also have Dania Beach. I've never actually been unable to find parking.

Why didn't you just use the Valet at Margaritaville?

That was the first thing we tried, as I was dropping my family off at Margaritaville for the mother's day brunch. They only had spots for hotel guests, and later they even ran out of those and couldn't park hotel guests either.

Yuck. I've been to Margaritaville several times and the valet has never been close to full. Always found a spot in the public garage at Margaritaville also. I've never gone on the crazy busy days though - though actually we were there on Memorial Day this year and still found a spot.
