Pompano Beach - on the beach.

West Palm - avoid Rivera Beach and check in the Palm Beach forum about the rest of WPB.

Deerfield... I have had it off my radar for years...

I love Delray Beach. I actually booked a week in Berkshire By The Sea resort this summer. When it comes to buy or rent a property there the best choice is close to downtown (Atlantic Ave) - You'll love this little town just be visiting it.

Delray is very nice for the most part. There are some dodgy parts near I-95.

I would go more North if you can. Pompano Beach is a very nice and family friendly area.
