Default Deerfield

Hi -

We are leaving Brooklyn, NY on Tuesday to live permanently in Deerfield Beach.
I was on this site awhile ago and asked people's opinions about Deerfield. If you search for the word "Deerfield" you should come up with some comments. From what I remember I only heard good things about it. My children are now adults so I don't know about schools. etc. I do get the feelings, from the few times I've been there that it is a lovely area. E-mail address is I.Skoorka@att.net - feel free to email me.

Deerfield is a lovely area, I am sure you will love it. The area has a lot to offer and it is very central to commute to Broward or Palm Beach. Cost wise it is slightly cheaper than Boca or Coral Springs, but with the recent slowdown in RE you should be able to find something at a decent price. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the housing options etc.

Deerfield Beach is one of the nicest beaches, probably the best in Broward. West Deerfield is nice too but you have to be careful and stay away from the area between Dixie and Military. There's alot of good parks nearby (Quiet Waters and Tradewinds). As for schools, they are not as good as Coral Springs.

Hi,
as I am living thousands of miles away from Deerfield Beach I may not be able to help you. On the other hand: Once a year I fly into Miami and straight drive into Deerfield Beach and enter my favorite hotel Embassy Suites in Deerfield Beach. I have friends living in D.B. and I have business partners in D.F. so I got used to stay there. So I took a decision: Once I'll retired, I'll move to D.B. It's the most beatiful place I've evr been (and I'm travelling a lot). So my (very personal) advice>: Move!!!
Greetings from Germany (and please excuse my bad english)
Snowbird

Deerfield Beach is a great city to live in. The beach area is great, not as crazy as fort lauderdale or miami. The city has a great number of parks also. It's close enough to Palm Beach and fort lauderdale.I would avoid the areas around MLK BLVD.
