Anyone have anything to say about U-verse in the area? Thinking of switching Direct TV from, getting tired of no channel 7 and lost the playoff game last week. Just wondering what picture and service is like? Thanks!

I'm in east Hollywood and have had U-Verse for 2 years -- phone, TV and internet. I haven't had any issues at all and have been really happy with them. I switched from Comcast and couldn't be happier.

We're in West Pembroke Pines and have had U-verse (internet, TV, landline) for a year and a half. No problems. The DVR is a pleasure, like the fact that I can start watching something in one room and then pick it up in another.
We also originally had Comcast.

To the OP, I am in your same shoes. DirectTV really hit me hard when I couldn't watch the football games as well. Plus, I also had issues with channel 10. Today I just got an email that stated they resolved the issues...psh, right after the playoffs ended. Plus, I hate that I don't have Sunsports, which means I can't watch heat games.

Oh well, I got into a contract with them and now can't wait to switch to U-Verse. Also, don't even get me started with Comcast!

If you don't mind, could you tell me how much your monthly bill is?

I don't mind at all. I have the U200 Latino TV plan with 4 TVs connected and the 12 Mbps internet speed. With taxes I pay around $190 a month. It works out to $45 for internet, $33 for telephone, $79 for U200 Latino and $7 apiece for 3 extra digital receiver boxes. The rest is taxes.

I could go with Comcast Xfinity and get a cheaper deal but I hate their customer service and will never go back to them as long as there's an alternative. I'd rather pay more and have fewer headaches.
