I need to get a new wok. I'm using a glasstop range, and want to use high heat, so that is limiting my choices. I was looking at the Vollrath Hard Coat stir fry pan, but I am a bit confused about what they are calling hard coat. Is that and actual coating like nonstick, or is it a treatment, like anodized steel?

I can't address the question with the wok, but will say I was very unhappy using one on my glasstop stove. I got a portable butane stove and am much happier. You can take it outside, keep the odors there and are not limited to a flat bottomed wok, like with the glasstop. Here is the one I got.

what makes you think that you can get high heat on a glass top by using this pan?

I just ordered a carbon steel wok with a flat bottom to use on our glass top.

I found this:

Vollrath hard coat woks are made of strong aluminum with a HardCoat surface that is 400% harder than aluminum, non-porous, and non-reactive. The HardCoat surface provides optimal heat conductivity and a protective, non-porous surface. Vollrath hard coat woks are available in a variety of sizes and finishes, including Natural, HardCoat, CeramiGuard II, SteelCoat x3TM, and PowerCoat 2TM. Some Vollrath hard coat woks have Cool Handle silicone handles that are oven safe up to 450°F
