I am not too familiar with this. Maybe it's a southern thing. Has anyone tried it What does it taste like? I saw someone on You-Tube make this.

I always thought it was an Irish thing. My Mom used to love it, and I would buy her some from a local candy place that still makes old fashioned candies. It tastes a lot of the cinnamon that coats the "potatoes".

Yes...needhams are big in Maine & northern New England in general.

It's a great-tasting chocolate bar with potato mixed in.

I like my potatoes mashed or fried far too much to use them for candy, when I can get good desserts already. Not an Irish thing, maybe an Irish American thing ( lived for a few years in Ireland)

Funny thing Is I saw these in the grocery store and thought wow cute little potatoes not knowing it was candy LOL

In Chile and other SA countries a popular candy, camotillos, is made from cooked sweet potato pieces covered in a thick sugar glaze. It’s ridiculously, tooth-aching sweet, but Chileans get teary-eyed when eating them because it brings back memories of their childhood days.
