Nothing too special. Will be having a fresh salmon fillet for dinner, likely with mashed potatoes and a salad.

Prime rib (very rare using Barbara Kafka's high heat method)
Duck fat roasted potatoes
Yorkshire pudding
Small caesar salad

Very untraditional, but that prime rib was in the freezer calling my name. . .

I am off to a cookout today. I am not sure what is being served but I know what I am bringing! I made a batch of Alabama Firecrackers. I also made Creme Vanille. It's a vintage gelatin dessert. It kind of tastes like tapioca without the pearls. I need to go macerate the raspberries and blueberries I like to serve with it.

Happy Fourth for those that celebrate and Happy Thursday to the rest of you!

Dodger dogs are awesome. That's a good meal overall. I've been to games at Dodger Stadium in the past and that's a great experience.

I'll be having hot dogs and french fries later today.

My local grocery store had angel food cake made by putting WAY too much food coloring in the batter and then filling the mold with blobs of red, white and blue batter and baking it. They looked so repulsive I posted a picture in FB for comments!

I live alone and will be eating my usual stuff- don't mind at all. I was visiting DS and DDIL and the grandchildren for a week and although I love them all to pieces, it's nice to be back in peace and quiet.
