Dogboa is Qing a deckle for us. Sides will be black eyed peas, collard greens, Mac and cheese. I might make some cornbread too, will see how the day goes.
German style brats with hot chow-chow, baked beans with grated onion, tomato feta salad, peaches & blueberries with cream for dessert, and beer or watermelon soda to drink
I am off to a cookout today. I am not sure what is being served but I know what I am bringing! I made a batch of Alabama Firecrackers. I also made Creme Vanille. It's a vintage gelatin dessert. It kind of tastes like tapioca without the pearls. I need to go macerate the raspberries and blueberries I like to serve with it.
Happy Fourth for those that celebrate and Happy Thursday to the rest of you!
Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwiches, Grilled Burgers & Hot Dogs, Baked Beans, Green Beans and Tomatoes from the garden, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Chocolate Pie and Blackberry Cobbler, and we will make ice cream late in the afternoon.
A Red, White, and Blue pie! (Cherry, apple, and blueberry.) From Kroger's.
