Building and Zoning Division

I'm not familiar with Putnam County but you would get the power pole and meter from the electric company that services that area.

These are questions you should have been asking before you bought. To give you an example, My late mother in law bought a lot in the key's for $11,000. Bargain right? Well when it came time for the utilities there was nothing on her side of the street. It was going to cost $40,000 just to bring them to the property. They would have to tear up the road. She ended up selling the property to the neighbor, the only person it was worth anything to because he was adjacent to it an it expanded his property.

I don't foresee any problems for you other then it may cost more then you expected but you don't buy anything unless you know everything and you "Never" take the word of the seller about anything.

From my experience, it's typically best to get your power set up first. That way, you can tackle things like tree-cutting without any hitches. As for the power pole, meter, and amp box, your local utility company should be your first stop. They'll usually provide those and handle the installation. When I was in your shoes, I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed, but once you get the ball rolling, it all starts to fall into place.
