We are traveling to Deep Gap NC in a week. Google maps and mapquest have many turns and exits on there directions. They will be very confusing as we are not familiar with any of the cities or roads it takes you on. Can somebody give me some simple directions to get there? It doesn't matter if it's scenic or not, we just want something less complex.

Where in Florida will you start your trip? If you start from Miami you will get different directions than if you started from Tampa.

It's very straightforward.

Take I-95 out of FL and exit at I-26 West in SC.

Take I-26 to Columbia SC and exit at I-77 North.

Take I-77 North and exit at US 421 in NC.

Take US421 into Deep Gap.

The route is much a straight line north until you reach US421, then it's a turn to the NW for the last leg.
