Since DeSantis has failed (or refused) to rein in the insurance companies, what makes Scott think he’s got a handle on the problem?

Rick Scott's op-ed is GARBAGE. No real solutions offered whatsoever.

You know things are bad in Florida when the state leaders start turning on each other!

Anyone could see where this insurance S SHOW was going even decades ago.

But hey, at least we don't have lockdowns!

Rick Scott is garbage. He has no redeeming social, economic, or political value. He's another shining example of the sheer stupidity of Florida, as a whole, for voting for the likes of him in the first place. And - they'll do it again, because of course they will.

Charlie Crist of all people made some good and sensible strides in property insurance reform during his time as governor and Scott took that framework and moved it further along.

I really loathe Rick Scott and think he’s an awful human being- remember his plans to sell off some Florida state parks and lease others out to be turned into golf courses? and I’ll always view HCA hospitals as places to avoid because of high costs and poor quality medical services- but I’ve come to appreciate his attempts to make the state a place where businesses wanted to be and where Florida recent college grads wanted to remain rather than creating a pro-Nazi culture war that may help DeSantis’ presidential run in the short term but it doing active damage to the state that will take a lot of time to heal, if it ever does.

Bill Nelson was among the finest human beings, but as US senator for Florida he was as much a do-nothing as the two incumbents, so being a fine human being or a s-bag or something in between makes no difference.

And I don’t expect any potential challengers to be any better, but quite possibly worse.

In any case, history shows that these senators have little or no real power to influence the Florida insurance market.

So, yes, a self-serving propaganda piece.

But does anyone realistically expect anything different from these actors in political theater?
