So since 2014 there's been at least 3 major weird incidences in this tiny town called Bell Florida which is an hour west of Gainesville.

2014: man kills entire family,self

https://www.foxnews.com/us/florida-g...elf-police-say

2018: man living in Bell kills 2 cops randomly when they were eating lunch

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/gunman-...da-restaurant/

2019: man breaks into home and cuts off penis of man sleeping with his wife

Deputies: Florida man tied up wife's lover, cut off penis - Story | FOX 13 Tampa Bay

So what's up with this? Just unlucky? are there other towns like this that have this many crazy incidences? the area as a whole has a low crime rate I believe so I don't know what it is

Florida has the Sunshine law....news reporters have access to criminal charges other states won't do..and they can't report

That might be true for the guy who cut off the other guys....but the other 2 would be reported anywhere

I agree with that sentiment for "florida man" in general though

If you live there and think it is an accelerating trend you may want to move

Otherwise its just random

“randomness is the lack of pattern or predictability in events. A random sequence of events, symbols or steps has no order and does not follow an intelligible pattern or combination.”

BELL Florida went out of business after everyone dumped their landlines.

Oh boy.

A family from Bell bought a house across the street from me and remodeled it.

They moved in but didn’t live there too long and then it took a while to sell it. The wife really missed Bell; she used to talk about the beautiful trees.

They are such nice people! Really miss them.
