We have green, Cuban (brown) anoles and skinks. A few nights ago I saw a Mediterranean gecko on our wall. We see hear and see frogs after rainstorms.

Hey, from your post history you seem to live in LA - so why are you commenting on Florida?

1. Because I click on New Posts, so posts from all the forums come up.

2. Because I have Vegas and Florida in the back of my mind when I retire.

3. Because I once had a lizard in my house and was curious how the OP handled it.

4. Because I can.

Did you miss my smiley face? It was not intended to be a Florida bashing post, more of a comment on my "scream like a little girl" response to crawly things.

Happy ?

Pardon-moi. If you end up in a Florida town near me, I'd like to buy you a drink....

In the winter, during cold snaps, they fall out of trees. Cold blooded.

If he comes out, the most effective way to catch him to release outside is under a towel or sheet but you have to be lucky, quick, and coordinated.

After I toss the towel on them, I make a wall surrounding the towel with more towels so in case I can't get him scooped up in the towel on top of him....hopefully he'll stop and I can scoop him up at the towel wall LOL

Being older and not too spry, I've found the easiest way for me to catch them is with a shop vac. Make sure you dump it out and remove wet/dry baffle. I've used this method several times and all the lizards scurried away afterwards.
