I can make counts on homes being used at pot growing plants in middle class upper class neighborhoods. Usually some white guy who neighbors had thought was "A Very good well maintained guy". The same goes for child porn.

Of course our media shows more blacks and other races doing the typical shooting, robbing, and fighting crimes than any other thing that happens in a more established neighborhood.

YET the civilized people of both neighborhoods don't have any issues whether be black, white, rican, mexican, cuban, or whatever! My point is how can one really make a decision about which neighborhoods is better based on crimes? Crimes are every where especially in bigger cities. Crimes of any kind can happen at any time. Moving to one neighborhood over one does not make you less susceptible to crime in general. At least not IMO. Sure crimes of a certain kind may happen in one area over another but there are no crime free cities. Most of the times there are crimes in nicer places media won't cover just to make sure the name of that place stays "Healthy". Don't want a damaged look upon a nice place because of course once people start thinking, "Ooooohh that man shot himself and his kids" or "There are 50 sex offenders withing 3 miles" then people won't want to move. Sad thing is this informations is available at your finger tips.

My point is to get a good feel of a place on should go visit, seriously. I know I've been in Broward in Lauderhill and witnessed several crimes but not once did I feel unsafe, especially the way I conduct my life. Same goes for Jordan Park in St. Pete, Different Areas in Tampa, and Orlando. I Won't even mention Miami. We all know the situation there.

If you live a certain lifestyle where you fear you will be crime free or less likely to be a crime target, you are fooling yourself, no matter what part of the world you live in.

P.S. Our government officials are committing crimes everyday but I'm quite sure they don't live in terrible neighborhoods.

Almost all the random murders in Florida are black on white or black on nonblack. But your media only shows it when Trayvon Martin is the victim. I can post so many links if you want it.

If one looks at a map of Sanford the western 50% of the city (west of the 417) is every bit as safe as Lake Mary, with many very nice neighborhoods. East of the 417 has some lower income areas that are perfectly fine as well as many non-populated commercial areas. The majority/density of population in Sanford lives west of the 417. The high crime areas are relegated to the very segregated minority neighborhood just west of 17-92 and north of SR46, and a few small pockets of low income rentals on the east side of 17-92. Likewise for Apopka which has some rough neighborhoods but also many very nice/desirable neighborhoods on the east and north sides.

Furthermore to illustrate your lack of knowledge of the matter, Palatka is an hour and a half north of here...close to Jacksonville.

I put Palatka on the line below the orlando area cities cus it's in the middle of nowhere.

Sanford is definetly the worst city in Seminole county so that's why I included it in there. But I don't know it as much as other cities so you're probably right.

I add to the voices who say Chiefland is ugly and dirty inside and out, and no I didn't just drive through, I lived there. The last straw was when I walked into Walmart and an old man eyedballed me and snapped at me, BIG OLD UGLY BROAD. I hide in my house and barely go out, and now I can't even go into Walmart without some mad old man watching Fox news all day snapping at me. I moved but still use Amazon Prime so I don't have to go out shopping.

I think the worst areas in Florida (and one of the worst in the country) are these horrible trailer parks that almost look like shanty towns from a third-world country. To no surprise, the whole Miami-Dade area is a big culprit when it comes to these living conditions:
