I've been wearing Cover Girl Clump Crusher for years in dark brown. I want my eyelashes to look natural but still "better" without that fake, clumpy look.
I like that one, too (NOT the waterproof version!). Is it the holy grail of mascaras? Nope, but it's pretty darn good. The price makes it a no-brainer.

OK ladies, based on all these great reviews, I have just ordered some!
I'm going to have to give it a whirl as well. (I don't know why I keep buying mascara. My eyelashes are determined to be stick-straight no matter what I do-- they will not hold a curl, period-- so I can build them up with mascara as much as I want, but if you're looking at them end-on, it's still going to look like I don't have any. Maybe I need to try curling mascara.)

Please let us know how it works! Be careful of the curling mascaras -- I've heard they can break lashes.
Your straight lashes may look invisible to you straight on, but they're probably very visible from other angles.
I was strongly advised to try Clinique's Naturally Glossy Mascara in Jet Brown by two people. Pricey, and more than I'd normally pay for a mascara, but it was exactly what I was looking for: natural brown lashes that are more visible, a bit thicker, and slightly darker, yet blend well with my gradually lightening brows and graying hair. The older I become, the more everything needs to go soft (cosmetically and hair color-wise, that is!).
Many thanks again for all the suggestions. Even though I'm very happy with the Clinique mascara, I'm going to try some of the others, too.
