I saw this guy use a drone to follow and record him jogging. I’m thinking doing the same. Has anyone done something like this? What’re your thoughts on using a technology like this?
The first thing I thought of, is "narcissism at its finest"
I mean, isn't the whole point of jogging to get away from it all? Why in the world would you record yourself jogging?
The only thing I can think of is that you could see your running form from all angles, but that might be easier to do on a treadmill in front of a mirror.
Hmm..the first thing I thought of, as a runner, is...."Wow..what a cool way to critique my stride and maybe find out some hints to improve it!"
This I guess is the difference in mindset between runners and non-runners.
Thanks!
Not true at all former member who was banned but has returned with a new user name.
As a runner myself, I have ZERO time to be concerned with flying a drone behind me to watch me. I dont know of any runners that I hang with in real life who would even bother with this nonsense.

Sorry but this is my first account here, under any name.
You're obviously mistaken.
As far as a drone, I probably won't ever bother to buy one for a running partner. But I wouldn't mind having one video me so I could review my form.
Just out of curiosity, what made you think I was a past member?
And I invite a mod to check my IP if you doubt my newness. LOL
My thoughts exactly. The thing is.. it's an invasion of privacy if you're filming others without their permission. (assuming you're in a public place with other people around.) And then doing what with it? Putting it on the internet? Not cool. Legal I suppose, but still not cool.
But then again, I think drones are evil so I'm a bit biased...
