Election Forecasts - FiveThirtyEight Blog - NYTimes.com

Please Romney supporters, stop with crazy polls from sources no one has heard about before that show Romney ahead... this election comes down to key battle states and Romney is behind in almost all of them.

While I would say Obama winning is over 50%.... er NYT is not in the Fox News/ Michael Moore (pick your side) category of neutrality?

Of course it is!

NY Times became the sponsor for FiveThirtyEight after the founder accurately predicted the 2008 election using baseball betting algorithms. Sorry, but this isn't someone's opinion, it's through algorithms and statistics.

Intrade which is a betting website has Obama now at a 75% chance of winning.

Intrade - Barack Obama to be re-elected President in 2012

There is no bias here, purely money driven.

If Obama is up so much why is he honing in hard in Ohio?

That tells the real story.

Ohio is key... without Ohio, Romney has very little to no chance on winning the election. Recent polls conducted from various sources have Obama leading, which is why Obama shares have risen so much on intrade.

I dunno, but I think it might have something to do with the fact that Stu Stevens isn't running the Obama campaign?

(BTW, what does "honing in hard" mean? I've never heard it before, but it sounds naughty.)

Romney is a miserable piece of crap. I am far from an Obama supporter, but this is the best the GOP could give me as an alternative? At least he's not the negro? Seriously? And before the Paulistinians show up, no, Ron Paul is not a viable 3rd option. Being an anti-government a-hole is not working for me either anymore than an out of touch silver spoon moron or a MLK wannabe. I just want someone who is capable of running a non corrupt, functioning , capable government is all I ask. Is that so hard?
