Built in 1921
5 Bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms
6570 square feet
0.73 acres lot size
Current estimated worth: $1.3 Million
2022 property taxes: $21,421

While modest by multi-billionaire standards, even someone in the top 1% of net worth ($5.8 million according to Knight Frank 2024) would find it hard to afford. In addition to the property taxes, I wonder what the utility bills are.

As far as anybody can tell, Warren Buffett is the most modest centi-billionaire the world has ever seen.

He can literally cough up millions of dollars in his sleep, but there is little ostentatious display of wealth.

Tremendous respect for him for that quality. I don't think I could do that.

The Omaha home is beautiful, I can understand why he likes it so much.

Yeah but at this point, Warren is just an old guy and the money whether 1 million or 10 billion doesn't matter.
He isn't looking for life experiences at this point, he is looking at life expectancy and I suspect with Charlie Munger's recent death (his best friend/partner) he is probably hyper focused on his own demise.

Yes, Warren reached the stage of life where he shouldn't buy green bananas many years ago.

I posted that to show that his Omaha house was not his only house. It’s an internet fallacy that continues to this day,
