While modest by multi-billionaire standards, even someone in the top 1% of net worth ($5.8 million according to Knight Frank 2024) would find it hard to afford. In addition to the property taxes, I wonder what the utility bills are.
As far as anybody can tell, Warren Buffett is the most modest centi-billionaire the world has ever seen.
He can literally cough up millions of dollars in his sleep, but there is little ostentatious display of wealth.

Yes, Warren reached the stage of life where he shouldn't buy green bananas many years ago.
He sold that in 2018. Also, he originally had bought it in 1971 for like $150k (a lot of money then, sure, but not a lot at all for a billionaire). It was also only about 3,100 square feet. Quite small by even moderately wealthy people standards.
