I read somewhere that the cost of querying AI platforms is many times greater in terms of electricity usage than doing the same in a search engine.


At some point, that higher cost has to be paid for.

Well, tech moguls, taking in a huge amount of money, sometimes from quasi-monopolies (Amazon, Facebook), keeping it to spend on selfish and outlandish projects, would lead to further inequality which, yes, could kill us.
