Given that it only affects about 6% of all workers, it won't affect it much at all. Especially given that the average increase is less than $0.80 per hour. Besides, you don't think that workers wages, even the lowest paid, should also keep pace with inflation?

Please set a link for 6% of workers and average increase less than .80/hour. Thank you.

Ohio goes from $10.10 to $10.45 in 2024. I doubt there are many jobs paying minimum wage, due to a shortage of workers. Anyway, this is a response to inflation, not a cause of inflation.

According the the current administration and the Fed, inflation is back down to 2-3% right now and they have declared mission accomplished.

If you have proof to the contrary I'll be happy to look at it. I hope you are enjoying the low gas prices right now. Even core inflation which excludes energy prices is down.

The price increases from the last 3 years are locked in. They never go down.

It won't help with inflation in the short term.

What could happen is that business will turn to technology like AI to replace McJob type workers. Then there's increased unemployment.

Unlikely. Business seems starved for workers right now. Those shortages are more responsible for pay increases than an increase in the minimum wage. No one I know is earning $10 or $11 an hour right now.
