As alot of you already know, we have 2 dogs and 4 cats (supposed barn cats...but big sucks). Sonny, our Lab is truly a piece of work...dumb as a bag of hammers but we love him to death anyways. Our Border Collie, VERY smart but the cats? Gracey, our miracle kitty does this thing where she plops in front of one of our trucks and plays like she just got hit by a car (only does this on our road). Thought I'd share a laugh with you. Please note that she is not actually laying there dying or anything...she's just a little turd!! These were taken yesterday...Now who says dogs are smarter?

nice cat
My dad has a 3 cats and one of them learnt to jump at the door handle at night to open the (utility room) door and let the others out. Rather bright he is.

Cats are into mischief, which gives the illusion that theyre "smart". No doubt theyre crafty, but dogs are much more intelligent. Well, certain species are at least.

Teach a cat to fetch, or sit up, or hi-5, or detect bombs/drugs, rescue people from burning homes, walk the blind, track down criminals, etc, etc. No doubt dogs are the smarter animal.

I agree that dogs, over all, are smarter animals. BUT, I think that there are smart cats also. lol.. but I am a dog lover so I would always go with dogs in any argument over cats and dogs! lol.. That is a very cute cat though!
