Hi..

I am looking at becoming a pet/house sitter in my area, Northwest Tucson. After reading many articles about having an insurance policy in place on day one, how do I find a company which is legit for my area?

My existing insurance carriers for auto and home do not write these policies. I welcome any feedback from existing sitters regarding their experiences when things don't go right as I know this happens.

I will be a one person show so do not think I need bonding.

Secondly, any thoughts regarding over night stays and dog walking?

Thank you in advance of your comments.

I did an internet search for Pet Sitting and it pulled up some good links. Shouldn't be all that difficult to find.

If it isn't too much more expensive, I'd go ahead and get bonded. It looks good on a business card and/or website describing your services. Especially for house sitting.

Bonding is to protect the clients against You being irresponsible. Licenses Bonding & Being Insured is Number 1 .. having a basic knowledge of different animals and care. Owners will tell you other things about their pet's needs.
