I found this interview Dr. Becker did with a very astute researcher extremely interesting. It's like a giant puzzle she is putting together. I too remember when grapes and raisins were used safely in dog training.

First off, I would question the author's 'fluoride-induced fluoride sensitivity". What is the basis other than anecdotal of this claim? Then she claims that this Cryolite is a chemical. From her description it is a salt, not an organic chemical. Probably being use by someone who wants to be "organic" and instead uses arsenic, which was used way before we had the advantage of selectively acting chemicals. So yes, feeding your dog unwashed arsenic exposed grapes would not be a good idea. But if dogs are truly reactive to grapes, my guess would be that there has been an accidental co-selection for something in the dogs biochemistry that makes it sensitive to something in grapes. Probably there is a gradient of sensitivity and to be safe, raisins are not recommended as dog treats.
