I agree this sounds like an underlying allergy issue. As noted about the allergies could be environmental or food. Since you've been dealing with this for a while, I'd take her to a vet that specializes in dermatology. Hopefully a specialist vet can get to the bottom of it but I don't think you will be able to get rid of t he yeast until you address the underlying issue.

I'd ask your vet for a referral to the specialist.

Good luck.

Have you tried a antiseborrheic shampoo? I get Sogeval Oxiderm from my vet and it helped him my Bostie. You have to lather it on, and let it sit ten minutes before rinsing it off.

He's also on Apoquel, and while expensive, has worked wonders.

I've had good luck with Apoquel too.

Try Silver Sol. 10 ppm not higher or colloidal ( specifically Silver Sol 10 ppm) or Olive Leaf . If that doesn't,'t work in 72 hours try oil of oregano. For a systemic effect give a teaspoon of silver Sol orally and on site ( non toxic) . Do not listen to "anyone"who claims otherwise their mindset is related to colloidal
1000 times stronger and not for internal use.

Thanks! That sounds like the malacetic shampoo that the vet gave me. I'll have to check when I get home and see if it's the same thing.

Sounds interesting, I'll look into it. Where can I find it? I do have oil of oregano at home, but not the silver sol.

Thanks, and I think you're probably right.

If that Silver Sol is actually silver, it will be risky for the dog to ingest or take in by licking.

Also, my little dog finally got rid of her skin allergies when I switched her diet to pure cooked chicken after trying many kibble dog foods. I'm guessing that chicken is not the culprit.
