I have a 8 month mixed puppy that it about 14 pounds and for the last few weeks when she goes out to the bathroom her stool is not solid. Since we have had her she has been very picky with her food and we have switched to wet food so I am not sure if this is why her poop has changed. Should I bring her to the vet or is it because we changed to wet food. We have been using Blue Buffalo wet food. Also does anyone else have a dog that refuses to eat dry food and what did you do?

I would take her to the vet first; just to make sure there is no medical problem behind it. How long have you been feeding wet food?

I would try mixing kibble with her wet and eventually putting less and less wet food. I'm not a fan at all of wet food and would only use it as a last resort. No healthy dog will starve themsevels. So she will eat if she gets hungry.

What kind of dry food did you offer and also how? When putting a dog on a new type of food you should never just give them a bowl of the new brand. It should be mixed for a few days putting less and less of the old food in. It gives them a chance to get used to new food.

First I would take her to the vet though. Make sure everything is ok and normal. When she checs out by the vet I would try mixing the wet and a new kibble. I'm a huge fan of Solid Gold, Innova Evo, and Wellness Core.

Get the PE from the vet - she is too young to leave anything to chance.
