A cable system for boundary training? I don't think so. All I want are longer leashes to give some flexibility when I do our regular walking and boundary training. The longer leads will let the dogs meander away from me and then I can call them back and click/treat. A 6-ft leash doesn't really allow for that. And I don't want to put up anything. We have a beautiful garden that's a lot like a park. I don't want a gizmo with wires or cables.
Sadly common sense is quite uncommon especially with pets =(
I like them because Judy likes to wander places I'd rather not walk, like on soggy grass when I'm wearing flip flops, yuk. And it offers me the flexibility to allow her to smell but is a regular leash if needed. I've never been injured by it but then Judy doesn't fly around like a tornado, responds immediately to commands and I've never grabbed the fabric with my hand.
