Hello,

I'm looking to relocate to Oakland County. I like RH alot but my wife wants to move to WB because her family lives there. WB seems boring with nothing much to do. Plus, it feels far out from Woodward and anything important. RH is close to m59 and 75 which connects to everything and I like the all shops and downtown it has. So I'm sold on RH. Can anyone advocate for WB over RH? I'm open to changing my view because my wife already wants to be there lol

Both are basically soulless subburbia. RH at least has the City of Rochester nearby and stony creek metropark. RH is more upscale and has better schools. You also have a good jumping off point for going up north. RH will have more HOA subs and stricter rules. Fewer apartments. WB is more centrally located and better access slightly less traffic. RH to Detroit is a bear of a commute. WB is less than an hour to Ann Arbor. WB is also very close to box box store chains and shopping mall Mecca Novi.

I hear ya. WB also is kinda worthless if you're not living on a lake. However, when you go west of woodward it seems more luxurious. It's all subjective.

Parts of WB go to Bloomfield Hills and or Birmingham schools. Agree with the rest.

I'll ask the obvious question but where do you need to commute to for work?

Traversing that part of Oakland County can be challenging during the afternoon/ evening rush hour. You are at the mercy of the mile roads and traffic lights every 0.5 - 1 mile.
