Contact Detroit Historical society and Grosse ILe Historical society to get pictures of Boblo and Sugar island amusement parks. Not a lot of Sugar island because it is older and cameras were less common. There are books out there abuot both parks.

(Looks like there was an amusement park in Walled Lake I never new about. Operated from the late 20's to the early 60's.)

I have seen pictures of an amusement park that was in the St. Clair River Flats. I don't know if you consider that metro Detroit though. It was called Tashmoo Park.
