Yes! 8301 Puritan Ave at Cloverlawn Ave Detroit 48238 UNiversity 4-2059. My family was raised in this church and I was baptized there. It closed in 1969 due to a hostile takeover attempt by the assistant Pastor. A very bad time. There are still people around who attended this fine Church. It also had an excellent choir. Senior Pastor George Fleischer was a great man. The building is still there.

I remember this Church very well as my Families church since it was first built. It was a hostile takeover and very geartbreaking what happened to the church and the violence against innocent people in our neighborhoods that caused us to flee. Many people dont realize the hardship that caused. No one deserves to loose equity in their homes and forced to take out new mortages or rent somewhere else. The financial burden was extreme. I read that some claim people just fled and took out FHA mortages as if were a privilege like free money thatvdoesnt have to be paid back. Im sick of the lies.
