It's been beautiful that last two days, TFW. We got rain yesterday and the cool front rolled in. This is my kind of weather. I love the autumn.

This is my kind of weather too. The rain/drizzle cleared out so I took Queenie out to the schoolyard just now. We havent been able to go in the daylight since early March because of the heat, so she really enjoyed it this afternoon. And I enjoyed being able to see her (the schoolyard is the size of 3 football fields) instead of just looking for the red light hanging from her collar in the dark.

Glad Queenie is doing well!

Thanks, Bob. It's obvious that she's slowing down, although her age (12+ years) could be as responsible for that as her heart condition. But I'm still so grateful for every day.

What a weekend!!! Had a beautiful four day camping trip. Ate to much, drank to much and sleep way to little. Discovered Coconut rum and grapefruit vodka. I have GOT to spend more time browsing the local liquor store! lol. I always wondered why this group of " older "folks have so much stamina, now I know. They're pickled!!!
But we didn't just sit around and eat and drink ( well, ok, mostly ) we walked and played outdoor games and just really enjoyed the beautiful weather. Had a glorious campfire every night. I swear, it was a perfect weekend.

I've seen those (had coconut w/banana in some kind of drink) - never heard of grapefruit vodka. Do you have any brain cells left to remember any of the drinks? LOL

I'd love to try something different.

Lol! OK, I didn't drink THAT much.

There are a lot of different brands. I just got the cheapest Coconut rum I could find. You mix just regular margarita mix and the rum plus a little extra lime juice until you get the flavor you want. Put in a blender ( i use the magic bullet) with ice. Serve like a frozen margarita.

For the vodka, we used the Deep Eddy grapefruit flavored vodka, mix with grapefruit juice and a little lime juice. Serve over ice.

Hope this helps! We were in a rut as far as the drinking goes. It had been years since I had regular liquor and had settled for just beer or wine when I did drink ( which is seldom) I found both of these to be very refreshing and different for a change.
